Chef Nancy Silverton opened Spacca Tutto, a 108-seat Italian steakhouse at Palisades Village in Pacific Palisades, on Thursday, Oct. 15.
The restaurant is the final major sit-down dining spot in the rebuilt shopping center's lineup, first reported by Eater LA. The Palisades Fire tore through the coastal neighborhood in January 2025, destroying homes and nearly a dozen restaurants and damaging Palisades Village itself.
Silverton, a five-time James Beard Award winner who received the foundation's Lifetime Achievement Award in 2026, told the Daily News she sees the move as personal, calling herself "part of the rejuvenation of the Palisades." Her restaurants have long been concentrated around Melrose and Highland avenues in Hollywood.
The partnership with developer Rick Caruso, who owns Palisades Village, was two decades in the making. Caruso told Eater in 2025 that Silverton was his first call after the fire, describing her as "an L.A. original." Silverton told the Palisadian-Post she accepted without hesitation, saying the chance to help rebuild the community made the decision easy.
Some fire-displaced residents told Silverton the restaurant influenced their own plans. "More than a handful of people have come up to me and said, 'I just want to let you know that we were on the fence about rebuilding our house, and when we heard that you were opening a restaurant, we decided to rebuild,'" she told the Palisadian-Post.
The menu draws from Silverton's Hollywood restaurant Chi Spacca, known for wood-fire cooking and Italian butchery. Steak cuts include single-serving filets and hangers, a 50-ounce porterhouse and Australian wagyu from Sir Harry Wagyu farm. Antipasti include grilled prawns, steak tartare and anchovy crostini. The name "spacca tutto" roughly translates to "go for it" or "tear it up" in Italian.
Design firm AvroKO built out the space with travertine, burgundy banquettes and botanical artwork. A 19-seat bar extends from inside to a covered patio overlooking the Village green.
The bar is walk-ins only.
New School Hospitality co-founders Paul Pruitt and Jared Meisler developed the cocktail program, which features martinis, negronis and spritzes. Pruitt, a Brentwood resident, told the Daily News the opening felt personal because he raised his daughter on the lawn outside the restaurant.
Caruso said restaurant sales across Palisades Village have surpassed both projections and pre-fire levels. Other restaurants at the center include Porta Via, Alphabet Bar & Grill, Angelini Ristorante & Bar and Blue Ribbon Sushi.
Spacca Tutto is at 15255 Palisades Village Lane. Lunch runs 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, dinner 5 to 9 p.m.
