An 18-year-old woman was beaten unconscious and robbed inside a Hollywood 7-Eleven. LAPD released surveillance footage and is asking the public to help identify two suspects.

Destiny Valderrama, a second-year student at California State University, Dominguez Hills, said the attack happened around 12:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, at the store at 6702 Hollywood Blvd. She and two friends had just left a quinceañera and stopped in to buy snacks, ABC7 reported.

The victims believe the man and woman spotted them on the street and followed them into the store, according to KTLA. Valderrama told ABC7 there had been no previous encounter with the pair.

Surveillance footage shows a woman in a white sweatshirt grabbing Valderrama by the hair after an attack from behind sent her face-first to the ground. A man then joined the assault. Valderrama said the female suspect strangled her and slammed her head against the floor until she lost consciousness.

"I'll give you the chain, just don't hurt me, please don't hurt me," Valderrama told ABC7, recounting what she said during the attack.

Her gold necklace was snatched from her neck. When a friend tried to step in, the male suspect punched her and dragged her around the store by the hair, KTLA reported. Valderrama suffered bruising to her neck and arms.

When she regained consciousness, Valderrama said her friends were badly beaten. She asked a store employee to call police, but the employee refused and told the victims to leave, she told ABC7. ABC7 reported it contacted 7-Eleven's corporate office and attempted to speak with the store manager. Neither commented.

The suspects fled before police arrived.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing, ABC7 reported, citing LAPD. A local resident told KTLA that while he does not know the suspects, the man and woman are known to be regulars in the Hollywood Boulevard area.

Anyone who recognizes the suspects or has information can call LAPD at 213-972-2971, according to KTLA.
